My Journey

Smiley face

Who am I?

Hi my name is Trish Middleton
I am a qualified Food Intolerance & Vitamin/mineral Deficiency Practitioner, as well as a Nutritional Health and Weight-loss Adviser, based in Aberdeenshire, covering the North East of Scotland. See Certificates

How did I get here?

For most of my adult life (over 30 years ago), I have had a keen interest in nutrition, health and fitness learning through personal experiences and studies that …..
“What we eat and how we live our life has a resounding effect on our health and wellbeing”.

I first became interested, starting out as an Aerobics Instructor, followed by becoming a Fitness Instructor at BP Excel Aberdeen, adding qualifications as a Personal Fitness Coach.
I gained several relevant Fitness Scotland Qualifications all whilst bringing up my three beautiful daughters. I have always enjoyed sport and running (if that is truly possible 😊)…..
But genuinely, I never felt completely healthy, something was always wrong and it niggled away at me.

Intolerance & Deficiency Testing

Around 10 years ago I started having significant health issues, resulting in repeated visits to the doctor, I was leaving the Health Centre completely frustrated and angry because they continually put my issues down to the “DREADED IBS”, which I now know is just a symptom, not the root cause of poor health.

After several attempts using expensive prescription drugs there was no improvement and in fact I was feeling worse and suffering from depression due to the lack of a real diagnosis and effective treatment.

It was then a dear friend recommended I go down the alternative medicine route suggesting I “Take the First Step” and go for an Intolerance and Vitamin/Mineral Analysis Test.

A wonderful lady practitioner called Stephanie dropped the bombshell that I was severely intolerant to yeast and had significant Candida Albicans Overgrowth in my stomach which was causing all my problems! WOW!!

Fad Diets & Nutrition

Over the years I have tried many different diets in my attempt to be "thin" but none of them worked long term as I end up being left hungry and feeling deprived. Now I eat healthy nutritious and most importantly delicious food that fuels and energises my body, keeping me at a weight I feel happy and healthy with, without going hungry.

Fitness & Exercise

I also make sure to include exercise into my day, whether it is running, walking or resistance work, finding something that you enjoy doing that fits into your lifestyle, means there is more chance of sticking with it. I know how hard it is to find time to look after yourself when life is so busy with family, careers and pets to look after, which is why……

“I would like to help you achieve your personal goals with regards to nutritional health and wellbeing, by giving you the motivation, knowledge and confidence to succeed where you may have failed before”.

I would now like to help you take “your first steps” to get your health and wellbeing back.

Yours Sincerely

Trish Middleton
